Our pretend rally has grown year on year to become one of the largest gatherings of Classic Minis and their friends in the Southern Hemisphere. What started over a decade ago by Event Director, Evan Redman, as an overnighter for about 20 cars has grown into a world-renowned festival celebrating the cars we love and bringing together the folk who enjoy them.

With it’s growth, the Rylstone Classic has become more complex and now has a lot more moving parts behind the scenes. Thankfully, there is an army of unsung heroes who dig deep each year to support the event. From our tireless Support Crew who trail the field each year and troubleshoot the gremlins, through to the people who lend a hand to stuff envelopes late into the night.

The Rylstone Cup is Evan’s chance to publicly recognise a person or group each year who contributes to the spirit of the event and helps keep our pretend rally on the road.
